So it is the new year. Wow! 2021.

I think many of us are relieved and anxious to put 2020 behind and move forward with new hopes for the new year. I don’t think it’s helpful to regurgitate all the things that happened in 2020 here, but I must say I am still deeply grateful for the fact that I’m safe and comfortable, and more importantly healthy.

What I hope all the challenges 2020 did for us was a nudge to pause and reflect on our lives both individually and collectively. By the time we are able to do the things we haven’t been able to socially, I think the world will be changed in many ways, hopefully for the better over all. Human species is resilient and adaptable. It would behoove us to learn, grow and evolve for the betterment of humanity.

For the last few weeks as we were wrapping up this unforgettable year, I gave myself an opportunity to get quiet and work on my Visions — pondering on what I want in my life; what’s important for me; how do I want to spend the rest of my life… The clarity as a result has given me some renewed motivation and courage to take some new actions. For one, I am committing myself to focus on my business as a green home advisor as I feel it is essential — especially in post-COVID world — for people to know how important to have healthy and comfortable home environment. And I found a perfect 1-year program called, “Buddhist Eco-Chaplaincy” with one of my favorite and respected teacher, Gil Fronsdal. This was a God-shot as it brings my practice right into my professional aspiration, and I can combine two of my passions of “green home” living and Dharma practice.

It is indeed a new year with new beginnings. I’m actually excited…
